Dolce far niente

Oh, sweet summer
fragrant and pensive

 Aroused and alone
I must be patient

The fragrant promise
cloaks my soul

The blossoms unfolding
baring my essence

Oh, carefree breeze
lift me high

Blissful and united
I must become

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” ~Rumi

I was touched by so  much beauty today
my heart was exalted and touched
by spirit leading the way.
I simply let the beauty of what I love ---the spirit and grace of nature---
lead me into meeting joy and inspiration.
My heart emerged from it's deep chamber
and blossomed into a thousand petaled lotus.

Today I have been touched by the beauty of these peoples labor of love.

Nightly I bring to her temple the sweet offerings of the queen of all flowers, the the beautiful rose.

Could it be that grace bestows me with inspiration and joy, because she is pleased with my offering to her?

"That which God said to the rose, and caused it to laugh in full-blown beauty, He said to my heart, and made it a hundred times more beautiful." — Rumi

Rumi believed that  that music, dance and poetry were a path for reaching God. I am adding  scents to my spiritual path. Last night, or better; early this morning,  I dapped some rose otto on my chest, under my nose and on my crown chakra. It was such a calming and soothing feeling which instead of lulling me to sleep, it roused my heart with longing for the divine. I laid awake and listened to the fragrant  stillness.

Come, come, The roses are in bloom! Come, come, The Beloved has arrived.~Rumi

The scent of roses, hundreds of them in a single drop, rise from my chest and travel deep inside my brain where it lulls me into a dream.
